awesomebigsisEllie was currently sitting on her bed just kind of staring off at nothing. She wasn't exactly sure what she was feeling right now. She should be angry or sad or...something.
That's how people were supposed to react when their fathers promised them pancakes for dinner only to disappear without a trace instead. They'd gone to his hotel room to meet him, but he was gone. All packed up and...gone. She really should have known better than to believe he wouldn't flake out on them for one weekend.
He was right about one thing. She and Chuck had each other. He was the only family she could count on. At least he was here.
